Overland Journey
Alternatively, there are three overland entry points from India. Phuentsholing, located in the southwestern region of Bhutan, approximately 170 kilometers from Bagdogra Airport. Gelephu in central Bhutan, situated about 250 kilometers away from the capital city. Additionally, from Samdrup Jongkhar, in the southeastern region around 150 kilometers away from the Guwahati International Airport.
Air Travel
The air journey is most scenic flight journey and also the most convenient to get into. Drukair, the national airline and the privately owned Bhutan Airlines, are the two carriers for the flight services into Paro valley in the west Bhutan from Bangkok in Thailand, Delhi, Kolkata, Bodh Gaya, Guwahati and Mumbai in India, Kathmandu in Nepal, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Changi in Singapore, among others.
Getting to Bhutan

Bhutan is accessible by air from the only International Airport in Paro valley or by land from various parts of the country, another way to get into Bhutan. The overland travel serves only as a transit destination without much activities to engage in and only recommendable if you are combining your India trip with Bhutan.
